Visionary Lady Pink - Catalyst for Change Mural

When Women Pursue Justice, Brooklyn, NY

When Women Pursue Justice was a mural collaboration conceived and organized by the ArtMakers in 2005. Lady Pink was one of 30+ women artists that painted portraits honoring the many women in history that have helped push human rights to the forefront. This massive mural was painted over the course of 2 months on the corner of Bedford and Nostrand Ave in Brooklyn. For more information on the ArtMakers please visit their site at: http://www.artmakersnyc.org. The mural's main portrait was of Shirley Chisholm in whose district the mural was located. Around 100 people attended the unveiling honoring a woman who wanted to be known as a catalyst for change.
